About the Event
Michelle Obama's 'Becoming' takes us on a journey from her seemingly ordinary childhood, to her more extraordinary life in public view. She explores topics such as race, education, sex, class, family life, drugs, work and the growth of our personhood.
In past sessions we have discussed the following quotes:
“Failure is a feeling long before it becomes an actual result."
"There were births, feuds and betrayals. There was hope, hatred and sometimes sex."
"How come you talk like a white girl?"
Will you be a part of our next discussion? Whether contributing or simply listening in, this safe-space is created for Black Women exclusively, and we want you there. Come with us as we redefine what it means to be a visible Black Woman.
Come and join The Feminoires: Book Tribe, where you are only asked to Speak Your Truth.
RSVP now and find out what quote we are discussing next.
